Nolito and Sergi Samper prepared to swap Spain for North London
Arsenal have been dealt a double transfer boost with the news that La Liga duo Nolito and Sergi Samper would both be interested in completing transfers to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners showed brief interest in Samper over the summer after he failed to break into the FC Barcelona first-team, while Nolito is a new target after he’s had an impressive start to the campaign with Celta Vigo.
Samper is currently considering his long-term future after struggling for game-time at the Nou Camp, and with an £8.5million release clause in his contract, the 20-year-old could be set for a move away in the near-future.
Arsene Wenger is an admirer of the holding-midfielder and believes he would provide good cover for Francis Coquelin.
New Target in Nolito
As for Nolito, it emerged last week that Arsenal were interested in the in-form striker, and according to reports this morning, the 28-year-old would be interested in moving to the Premier League club.
Reports in Spain have claimed Nolito would love the chance to join compatriots Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and Santi Cazorla at the Emirates, with a deal being lined up in for January.
Arsenal only really have Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott as strikers at the club, with Danny Welbeck still sidelined after surgery.
