Crystal Palace are set to step up their attempt to sign Bolton Wanderers winger Lee Chung-Yong, according to reports.

The 26-year-old South Korean international’s contract expires in the summer, with Bolton bracing themselves for a proposed bid from Palace, who are keen to do a deal with Chung-Yong.

It has been believed that Wanderers’ would rather cash in on their prize asset, rather than him potentially leave on a free-transfer in the summer, something that has since alerted manager Alan Pardew to his signature.

Other than Palace, Hull City have also expressed an interest in the winger, who has impressed for Bolton in the Championship this season.

He is currently away with South Korea on international duty, where a fractured shin ruled him out for the rest of the Asia Cup in Australia.

Lee has netted 20 times in 195 appearances since signing for Bolton from FC Seol in 2009.
