Leicester City have signed midfielder N’Golo Kante from French side Caen for an undisclosed fee and defender Yohan Benalouane from Italian side Atalanta, also for an undisclosed fee.

Kante, 24, who has penned a four-year contract with the Foxes, is the first signing by newly appointed manager Claudio Ranieri.

The Frenchman helped Caen win promotion to Ligue 1 in the 2013/14 season and played a main role for them last season, making 37 appearances.

Benalouane, 28, who has agreed a four-year deal, is the second signing that Leicester have made today.

The Tunisia international has played across Europe in his career, having started his career at Saint-Etienne then moving on to Cesena, Parma and Atalanta before moving to Leicester.

The pair join recent signings Robert Huth, Christian Fuchs and Shinji Okazaki at the King Power Stadium.
