Ever since the departure of Philippe Coutinho, Liverpool have been trying to get Naby Keita to Anfield this month.
Liverpool reached an agreement last summer to sign Keita from the Bundesliga club for £48m at the end of this season. However, Klopp wants to bring that deal ahead by 6 months.
Earlier today, the German club released a notice stating that Keita won’t leave in this month.
“Naby Keita will remain an RB Leipzig player until 30th June 2018. We wish to put the speculation about a January move to Liverpool to bed,” the statement read.

The German club’s director Ralf Rangnick added: “We won’t allow Liverpool to sign him early, even though they have shown renewed interest to bring him in during this transfer window.”
