Liverpool and Tottenham are set to battle it out this summer for Lazio starlet Ogenyi Onazi.
Onazi, 21, has been a revalation this summer for Lazio and has been attracting interest from all over Europe, and according to reports in Italy, Lazio have slapped a £10million price tag on him. Liverpool were interested in the defensive midfielder in January, but couldn’t agree a deal in time.
When asked about a possible move to Anfield, Onazi said, “Liverpool? They are a huge club that can attract any footballer.”
“I could see myself playing for them. I would jump at the chance.”
Tottenham are also interested in Onazi, despite uncertainty over the managerial situation. Reports suggest both clubs are hoping to tie up a deal before the World Cup in Brazil begins.
