Reports coming out of Germany claim that international Dennis Aogo is a January target for Liverpool.Aogo is currently on loan at Schalke O4 from his parent club Hamburg, and has suggested that a possible loan move to England could possibly interest him.

Schakle presumed that they had agreed a fee after the loan deal with Hamburg to sign the defender on a permenant deal after Aogo’s loan deal had expired, but contrasting peports coming from German daily Newspaper Bild suggest that Aogo is yet to agree a move to Schalke, after pushing the deal to a higher paid wage that Aogo wants.

And that has alerted Liverpool to the possibility that left-back Aogo, who has played for his national side on 12 occasions, might prefer a move to Anfield.and start a new life in England.

Liverpool are looking at a long term option as both defender’s Martin Sketel and Denmark internation Daniel Agger have both been linked with possible moves away, after Agger has been targeted by Napoli, who are managed by former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, and fellow Italian giants AS Roma have been interested in the tough tackling Dane.

Skrtel has been targeted by Bayer Leverkusen, who are managed by another former Liverpool great Samni Hyppia, who is chasing the Slovakian international.

However, Liverpool will want to act quick to get the deal done with reports in Germany that Bayer Leverkusen and AS Roma want the higly rated centre back, with all three clubs thought to be willing to top the ÂŁ2.5m offered by Schalke and provide significantly more appealing personal terms.

The German stated in an interview that he is still unsure about his long term future, and he does not know were his future lies next season.

“I do not plan anything anymore. I live in the moment.”

Liverpool have several full back defensive options however with Jose Enrique and Frenchman Aly Cissoko being able to cover that position, but with Cissoko’s possible return to Valencia after his loan deal, Liverpool may need Aogo as an option.
