The Athletic Bilbao star has a £45m release clause
Liverpool are believed to be extremely eager to bring Inaki Williams to Anfield in the summer.
The Reds didn’t add to their squad in January but they are already on the lookout for new players to bring in once the season comes to an end to help them challenge at the top of the Premier League next season.
One player they are desperate to sign is Inaki Williams. The Anfield side have been linked with a move for the Athletic Bilbao star in the past but no move has ever materialised.
They are set to renew that interest in the summer, with Atletico Madrid also keeping an eye on the 22-year old.

However, there are a few stumbling blocks over a potential move. First of all, Bilbao are extremely reluctant to let go of Williams.
The Spaniard has featured 36 times for the Spanish side this year so far, scoring 13 goals along the way. He has become one of his side’s most important players and losing him would be a huge blow to them, so they won’t be too eager to part ways with him.
Secondly, they wouldn’t let him go for too cheap either. Bilbao would be looking for any potential suitors to trigger his release clause and that clause is set at a staggering £45m.
It would mean that Liverpool would have to stump up that amount to try and sign him in the summer. But, if Jurgen Klopp is truly desperate to bring him to the Premier League, then he would have to agree to pay that fee.
