Striker to make way for AS Roma star Leandro Paredes?
Liverpool could use fringe-striker Christian Benteke as bait to lure AS Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes to the club.
The Belgian striker has failed to impress at Anfield since completing a £32.4million move from Aston Villa in the summer, and after a recent outburst, it looks like his days are numbered at Liverpool.
Benteke hit out at Jurgen Klopp and stated he’d never have joined the club had he known he wasn’t going to be first choice. It’s widely expected that after these comments, Klopp will look to part ways with the striker at the end of the season.

According to reports, Liverpool could try and use him as part of a player-swap deal, with Paredes on their radar from Roma.
The 21-year-old midfielder is currently on a season-long loan at Serie A side Empoli, and has made 26 league appearances, scoring the two goals.
Klopp has identified the midfield as an area Liverpool needs strengthening and Paredes is one of the players he wants to bring to Anfield over the summer.
