Reds keen on deal for former-Manchester United striker

Liverpool are considering a move for Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi, and could offer up to £18million in the January transfer window.

The Italian international has a Premier League past, playing for Manchester United and also spending time on loan at Newcastle United, but he could be set for a third stint in England, this time with Liverpool.

Although Rossi failed to set the Premier League alight, he has rejuvenated his career abroad with successful spells at Villarreal and now Fiorentina.

Strikers at Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp is thought to be in the market for a striker, despite Liverpool already having four on their books.

Daniel Sturridge, Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Divock Origi are all currently at Anfield, but with Ings out all season and Sturridge‘s fitness-levels still a concern, Klopp may look to add another option.

According to reports in Italy, Liverpool are prepared to pay around £18m for Rossi and are keen to bring him back to the Premier League despite his United background.
