Reds monitoring Inaki Williams
Liverpool are thought to be ready to launch a £45million bid for La Liga star Inaki Williams this January.
With Sadio Mane set to miss almost a month’s worth of action in February due to his participation in the African cup of nations, Liverpool are on the lookout for another winger as cover.
Not only would signing another winger cover Liverpool for the time that Mane is absent, it would also drive competition for starting places when he returns to England after the tournament.
Another reported alternative is the Italian Lorenzo Insigne, who has had contract disputes with Napoli after his wage demands were not met.
Spanish media are claiming that any club wanting to buy Williams will have to fork out £45million, which will leave the decision up to Liverpool’s owners over whether they want to pay that much.
