Reds launched ÂŁ31million offer, according to reports

Liverpool have had yet another bid turned down by Shakhtar Donetsk for Alex Teixeira, according to reports.

The Reds had already made two formal bids for the Brazilian striker, with the first being valued at around ÂŁ25million, and the second being worth around ÂŁ28m.

However, both were declined as Shakhtar remain hopeful of getting closer to ÂŁ40m for their star-man, but a third offer has been made by the Premier League side and once again it’s fallen short of the Ukrainian club’s asking-price.

According to reports, Jurgen Klopp and co. have offered ÂŁ31m for Teixeira, but it was a bid that was once again declined.

Teixeira Frustrated

The latest rejection will further frustrate Teixeira, who has recently been very open about his future and has admitted that he wishes Shakhtar would just accept an offer for him.

Ian Ayre has already held talks with the Ukrainian club and with the striker himself, during his time out in Florida, but as it stands, the Reds haven’t managed to make a breakthrough.

Due to Liverpool‘s interest, it appears that Chelsea have cooled their pursuit as they now turn their attentions to Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato, who they could announce as soon as today.
