Anfield outfit want to do a deal for Chelsea’s forgotten man

Reports in Italy suggest that Liverpool have made a formal approach to sign Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian international was due to remain at Italian Serie A side Fiorentina, having agreed an 18-month loan deal with La Viola in January.

However, the 23-year-old has parted ways with the Florence outfit, and has his eyes set upon a move to Inter Milan this summer – after having his loan contract terminated in Tuscany.

LEFT OUT OF CHELSEA’S TOUR OF THE USA

Salah ‘s Stamford Bridge future is currently in limbo, having been left out of Chelsea’s annual pre-season tour of the United States, as the squad flew out earlier today.

With his future with the West Londoners now up in the air, Italian publication Calcio Mercato Web claim that the Blues Premier League rivals, Liverpool, have now made an approach to sign Salah.

It is a far cry from the scenes of January of 2014 – when Chelsea paid £11m to Swiss side Basel for his signature, with Salah going onto make just 13 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s men.
