The winger could be the latest to move to Anfield

According to reports, Liverpool officials have flown out to Barcelona in order to strike a deal for Adama Traore.

The Spanish Under 19 international has primarily played his football for Barcelona’s B team, having come through their academy. However, he has made four first team appearances scoring once for the La Liga giants.

Traore was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United during this summer transfer window, with Louis van Gaal tipped to meet the youngster’s release clause.

BUT the Reds from Merseyside are looking to hijack the deal and beat their fierce rivals to the 19-year old’s signature.

RAC1 claim talks are underway

Spanish radio station RAC1, which is based in Barcelona, claim that Liverpool’s senior representatives are in Catalonia to try and make a deal happen.

It is believed Traore will move to Anfield on a season-long loan, with a view to a permanent switch at the end of the 2015/16 Premier League campaign.
