Reds won’t be getting their man
Long-term Liverpool target Mahmoud Dahoud is set to reject a move to Anfield in favour of a move to Borussia Dortmund.
The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder has been on the radar of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp since last summer, and Klopp was planning to make a bid at the end of the season.
With less than 18 months left on the midfielder’s contract, the Reds were hoping to snap him up for a cut-price ÂŁ8.5million deal, however, it’s now appearing as though the move won’t be happening at all.
It is claimed that Dahoud has committed to a move to Borussia Dortmund because he would prefer to stay in Germany.
The midfielder has made more than 30 appearances for Gladbach this season.
And it means Dahoud becomes the latest player after Ousmane Dembele and Christian Pulisic to turn down Liverpool.
