Left-back won’t sign new contract at Goodison Park

Liverpool are lining up a transfer bid for Everton left-back, Luke Garbutt.

The 21-year-old has only featured five times for Roberto Martinez’s side and the defender’s contract expires in the summer.

Liverpool Keen on Defender

The England U21 international has been monitored by Liverpool gaffer, Brendan Rodgers, and his staff all season.

The Reds are preparing an offer for Garbutt, who has been at the Toffees since 2011, according to many reports in the British media including talkSPORT.

However, Liverpool face tough competition to sign the former Cheltenham and Colchester loan star, with Championship champions, Bournemouth, chasing Garbutt’s signature.

Martinez Wants New Deal

Garbutt still may stay at Goodison Park if the Blues decide to offer him a new contract, plus it is known that Martinez is a big fan of the Everton academy product and has tipped him to be a big star in the future.
