Reds searching for Steven Gerrard replacement
Liverpool have closed in on the £17.7million transfer for Inter Milan star Mateo Kovacic as the Croatian wants to leave the San Siro, according to reports.
The Reds have been monitoring the midfielder all season and are trying to make the transfer happen as the Croatia international has become unsettled at the Serie A club.

The 20-year-old could find chances limited next season with Manchester City star Yaya Toure poised to sign for the Italian giants.
The former Dinamo Zagreb playmaker is one of the most talked about midfielders in the world and is not short of interest with several Premier League clubs chasing the youngster’s signature including Chelsea and Arsenal as well as Liverpool.
Willing to Sell
Inter gaffer Roberto Mancini is open to offers for Kovacic as he has been told by the club’s board that he will have to sell some players first before he brings others in.
