Seven likely to leave Anfield

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is being made to sell several of his players after completing a deal for Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne.

The Reds gaffer completed his six summer signing earlier today (Wednesday) when England international Nathaniel Clyne left St Mary’s for Anfield.

Liverpool Signings

The 24-year-old joins James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Roberto Firmino and Joe Gomez in moving to Merseyside.

Liverpool are also heavily linked with signing Aston Villa and Belgium striker Christian Benteke.

Rodgers wants a re-shape of his squad in this summer transfer window, and is set to let several first-team players leave the club.

Players Set for Departure

Rodgers is keen to offload strikers Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert with the club lining up bids for several other forwards across Europe.

Borini is being chased by West Ham United in a deal worth £8million, while Lambert is wanted by West Bromwich Albion and Premier League new-comers Bournemouth.

However, Balotelli could be harder to get rid of, with the Italy international not wanting a move away from Anfield.

The Reds will also consider offers for midfielder Lucas and left-back Jose Enrique, while centre-back Sebastian Coates has joined Sunderland.

Liverpool are also expecting to receive a third bid from Manchester City for winger Raheem Sterling.

The club want to keep the England international, but they may have no choice if City decide to match their £50million valuation of the 2-year-old.
