Premier League outfit Liverpool believe they have beaten rivals Arsenal to the signing of Derby County’s youngster Will Hughes.
The 18-year-old has been scouted by several Premier League clubs over the past two seasons after some impressive performances in the Championship with The Rams and he finally looks set to make his move to top-flight football.
Brendan Rodgers has been keeping track on Hughes all year and was close to signing him last Summer, but the deal fell through and it now seems that January is when the deal could be formalised.
The England U21-international will not come cheap however, and The Rams are holding out for at least £12million for the midfielder.
