The striker will join the Eagles on a season-long loan

Loic Remy will join Crystal Palace on a season-long loan, according to Sky Sports.

The striker has struggled for much first-team football at Stamford Bridge, making just 20 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season and he is yet to make an appearance for the club this season.

It has led to the forward being linked with a move away to several clubs, both on loan and permanently, with Palace the main side to be linked with his signature.

Remy replaces Dwight Gayle

It now appears that the Eagles have got their man, with these new reports claiming that the 29-year old will join the club until the end of the season, as they bid to add more firepower to their attack. They lost Dwight Gayle to Newcastle earlier this summer and have since been on the lookout for another striker to replace him – and now they have one.

Remy’s best football arguably came during his time at Newcastle, where he bagged the goals and assists to help fire the Toon up the table. He put in such impressive performances that the Blues ultimately came knocking and signed him on a permanent basis.

Since the move though, he has struggled to find that same form at Chelsea and he will be hoping that with a regular run of first-team football under his belt at Palace, he will be able to once again bang in the goals consistently.
