German set for Galatasaray switch
Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has undergone a medical at Turkish side Galatasaray ahead of his £2.5million move to the Super Lig side.
The German international was informed by Arsene Wenger that he wouldn’t be in his first-team plans next season, alerting him to find a new club in order to play regular football.
According to Podolski‘s agent, Wenger wanted to keep his client for one more season, but after telling him about his plans for the 2015/2016 campaign, the German wanted to leave.
Podolski spent half of last year out on loan with Serie A side Inter Milan, and he’s expected to be announced a Galatasaray player later this afternoon.

“Germany number 10 Lukas Podolski will officially sign the contract at the Türk Telekom Arena today at 16:30 local time, 15:30 CET,” the club announced on Twitter.
The 30-year-old has been pictured (above) undergoing his medical in Turkey.
The versatile forward was also snapped (below) arriving in the country and took time out to pose with the public.
