Regarding his future, Riyad Mahrez  has come out to say ‘it is possible that I stay, it is possible that I leave’- throwing his future into doubt.

Riyad Mahrez, the Leicester City winger, has branded speculation linking him with Arsenal as “flattering” but hinted he may stay with the Premier League champions.

Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal manager, is currently awaiting a reply from Jamie Vardy after meeting the England striker’s £20m release clause and offering a three-year £120,000-a-week contract with the option for a fourth season, and Riyad Mahrez could soon see himself follow Jamie Vardy out.

However Mahrez, 25, addressed speculation about his own prospective switch away at a Nike event in Paris, saying: “The season went very well. As you know, we have won the league which was very important. It is incredible. It was by far my best season in my career.

“It is flattering to hear [about links to other clubs], as I said nothing is agreed, nothing is done. For the moment I have not made a decision. We will see. It is possible that I stay, it is possible that I leave. We will see.”

Reports are also suggesting that Mahrez has been offered a new contract which is said to be six-figures, in a plight to keep him at the King Power stadium
