The defender is continuing to stall on a new deal at West Ham

Man United target Reece Oxford is continuing to stall on a new West Ham deal, according to reports.

The defender is considered to be a huge talent by the Hammers and they are desperate to keep him at the club, with several other sides snooping around and considering moves for him.

However, despite how highly the club rates him, he has struggled for gametime this season. He has only featured in two of the club’s games and they came in the Europa League. This year, he has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League.

Still, it hasn’t stopped West Ham from tying him down to a new deal, with the club believing he has the talent to make it big. The player himself though appears less keen to commit his long-term future to the Hammers.

Deal on the table for months now

A new deal has been on the table for the last couple of months according to reports and he is yet to put pen to paper on it. With Oxford seemingly not currently interested in signing, it has put Man United on high alert.

The Red Devils are believed to be keen to bring the talented youngster to Old Trafford and they will be boosted by the news that he isn’t signing any new deal at West Ham yet. Man City are also keeping tabs on the situation.

Slaven Bilic will no doubt want to keep the defender at the club but if he doesn’t sign this new deal, he may be forced to sell him on sooner rather than later, so he eventually doesn’t lose him for nothing.
