Guardiola has identified targets at both Arsenal and Spurs

Incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants to bring Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere and Danny Rose to the Etihad this summer.

The Spaniard is set to take over from Manuel Pellegrini, and has identified the trio as three players who can shake up the City squad and ensure they heavily challenge for the title next campaign.

Sanchez’s contract talks with Arsenal aren’t understood to be going as the Gunners’ had planned, after a ÂŁ160,000-a-week deal was not signed by the Chile international. And it is thought the winger would welcome a move to City, with his former Barcelona boss.

Guardiola acquired the Chilean from Udinese in 2011 for ÂŁ26 million, and is keen to reunite with the 27-year-old at the Etihad, as the club look to challenge for both domestic and European honours.

City are prepared to offer a £5 million profit on the player Arsenal signed for £35 million in 2014, with Sanchez having two years left on his current Arsenal deal.

But the former Barcelona boss isn’t ready to stop his raid on the Gunners there, and is keen to bolster his midfielder with the signing of Wilshere.

It is understood that Guardiola wants to rebuild his midfield around Wilshere, who has made just three appearances for Arsenal this campaign due to injury, and is ready to offer as much as ÂŁ40 million for the 24-year-old – which will also help increase City’s ‘homegrown’ quota of players.

Wilshere, like Sanchez, has two years to run on his Arsenal deal, and City are prepared to go ahead and spend big on the midfielder, after identifying him as a target last year, also.

It is understood that talks over a new £110,000-a-week deal have stalled between Wilshere and Arsenal, putting the Citizens in a good position to try and tempt the England international away from the Emirates.

But while shopping around in north London, the Etihad outfit are keen to bring in Danny Rose, who is set to head to the Euros this summer with England, after breaking into the Three Lions squad.

Arsene Wenger is keen not to lose any more of his key players to City, after seeing Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna all move to the Etihad in recent years.

Meanwhile, Spurs will be keen to keep ahold of Rose, who has been a key figure in Tottenham’s title challenge this season, and helped secure the club Champions League football for next campaign.
