Premier League outfit ready to offer £71million for Frenchman
Manchester City are ready to break the British transfer record by offering £71million for Juventus star Paul Pogba.
The previous record of £50m was beaten last summer when Manchester United spent £60m on signing Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid, but according to reports, City are ready to top that by £11m with a bid for Pogba.
Mega-Bid To Come In
The Frenchman is widely expected to leave Turin in the next few years, and City are ready to launch a formal bid of around £71m after UEFA eased their regulations on Financial Fair Play.
With the financial backing and the ease on FFP, City are prepared to have a mega-spending spree this summer, with £140m reportedly ready to be spent on new faces.
Rivaled Interest
Pogba has been strongly linked with a move to Spain and to FC Barcelona, but with the Catalan club only offer around £56m, City feel they can snatch the French international from under their noses.
Chelsea are also reportedly interest in Pogba, but won’t enter a bidding war with their title-rivals.
Manuel Pellegrini is ready to give the green light to sign the 22-year-old and will even match his £240k-a-week contract demands.
