Reports claim Guardiola has met with United officials

Manchester United directors have met with Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola, according to reports.

Guardiola has already announced that he’ll be leaving Bayern at the end of the season and confirmed that he’d like to manage in the Premier League.

Several clubs are keen on hiring the Spaniard, who has had great success in Spain and Germany, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all keen on appointing him.

However, according to the latest reports, it’s United that have made the first move. Although it’s been suggested that Guardiola is nailed-on to take over from Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium, it’s reported that the manager has met up with United directors.

French Meeting

According to reports in France, the two parties met up in a French hotel during the past week, sparking speculation that he could be set for the Old Trafford job.

Current-manager Louis van Gaal is under real pressure, and despite winning 1-0 at Anfield against Liverpool, it’s still looking likely he’ll lose his job over the summer, if not before.
