Louis Van Gaal will be able to acquire Rodrigo Dourado for ÂŁ20million

The United manager has reportedly sent scouts to watch Dourado, who plies his trade for Internacional.

According to an anonymous source, the 20-year-old will be allowed to make the switch from Brazil to England for ÂŁ20million this summer.

Earlier reports had suggested a deal for Dourado was nearly complete but now the midfielder’s representatives are believed to be flying to England next week to finalize the move.

Brazil-mania

Dourado is the second Brazilian midfielder to be linked with a move to United this week – Hoffenheim’s Roberto Firmino is reportedly on the verge of completing a £13.1million move.

Firmino, who scored 12 goals last season, prefers to play as a central attacking midfielder but can play a number of central roles.

Meanwhile, Internacional have continued to insist they have had no contact with United, and the club president Vitorio Piffero is reluctant to listen to any offers.

However, the player has recently stated his desire to play for one of Europe’s top clubs and even went so far as to mention United specifically.

The fact the Brazil youngster does not yet have a work permit could prove a bit of a stumbling block for any parties interested in his services.
