Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial back in first-team training
Manchester United have been dealt a double boost with the return of Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial to first-team training.
The duo missed the away trip to Watford on Saturday due to illness and injury, but the two have been spotted taking part in training with Louis van Gaal‘s men.
Rooney missed the 2-1 win at Vicarage Road through illness, while Martial missed out after picking up an ankle injury during international duty.
Return to Training
However, after a successful return to training, the duo could be in line for a return in tomorrow night’s Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven.
As well as the striking duo, Marouane Fellaini also returned to training, but there remain doubts over Bastian Schweinsteiger, Phil Jones and Ander Herrera.
A win at Old Trafford tomorrow night will seal United‘s progression to the knockout rounds.
