Manchester United new favourites to sign forward

Manchester United are in pole position to sign Borussia Dortmund star, Marco Reus, after Real Madrid pulled out of the deal.

The 25-year-old is one of the most wanted players in Europe and Red Devils manager, Louis van Gaal, is prepared to make a ÂŁ50million offer to lure him to Old Trafford.

Interest in Reus

The Germany international would prefer to join United rather than Madrid, after it was revealed that the Spanish giants chose to sign James Rodriguez over him last summer.

However, even though the Red Devils are the bookies favourites to sign the attacking midfielder, they face tough competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, who are also lining up an intriguing offer for Reus – regardless of the fact that he is tied to a contract with the Black and Yellows until 2019.

The Premier League quartet have been interested in the German since the start of the season, and he was close to joining Arsenal last Summer before an injury prevented the deal from happening.
