United want to swap midfielder for Inter Milan defender
Manchester United could use Juan Mata as part of a player-swap deal involving Inter Milan defender Miranda, according to reports.
United have a whole host of talent in the middle of the park, but are really lacking for commanding centre-backs, especially with both Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo suffering with numerous injuries throughout the season.
According to reports in Italy, Inter are keen on signing Mata, and United are keen on signing Miranda, so the duo could strike a deal together which sees the two players swap clubs.
Despite being 31-years-old, Inter officials still value Miranda around £15.8million, and with United keen on strengthening their back-line, there were reports claiming the Red Devils could launch a formal bid in the summer.

However, Roberto Mancini, the Inter boss, is against selling Miranda, unless they can get something in return, and that something is Mata.
Mancini is hoping Jose Mourinho takes over at Old Trafford so that he can sell the Spanish play-maker, like he did during his time at Chelsea, and then that way they can discuss a potential player-swap deal.
