Manchester United star ready to stay at club
Luke Shaw is ready to stay put at Manchester United and try to fight out for a spot in the XI, according to a report in Mirror Sport.
The 22-year-old’s relationship with Jose Mourinho had gone downhill, and the Manager has not held back in expressing his frustration at Shaw.
He did not have the best of years at Old Trafford this time, managing just nine games in all of 2017, including the three he played this season.
However, the equation seems to be improving, and the former Southampton full-back played a full game in his side’s 2-1 Champions League win over CSKA Moscow recently.
Shaw had penned a four-year deal with United from Southampton in June 2014, and since then, has played a total of 32 games for the club.
The England full-back is ready to slug it out with Ashley Young for a spot in the playing XI, although he will still review his position once summers arrives.
Chelsea were said to be interest in signing him.
