Shaw nailed on for move away
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw seems set to leave Old Trafford this summer.
Shaw arrived at United as a fantastic prospect, but has a player who has struggled with injuries, hampering his chances of nailing down a starting place.
And Spurs are the ones showing interest in taking the left-back off United’s hands, should their current first choice, Danny Rose, move to Manchester City this summer.
Effectively, that means swapping one England international for another – and the potential £20-30m saving will help Daniel Levy’s cash-flow.
Shaw’s days under Jose Mourinho look increasingly numbered. At 21, Shaw certainly still has time to revive his career, and Spurs are thought to be willing to take the gamble and buy him from their top 4 rivals in the hope he can become the star he was expected to become during his days at Southampton.
