The Armenian national seems to have lost the manager’s faith, and has not been part of the line-up since the team’s 1-0 loss at Stamford Bridge.
The 28-year-old started the season on a good note, picking up five assists in two matches against West Ham and Swansea.
According to a report in TransferMarketWeb, the midfielder had a meeting with Mourinho over the weekend to clear out his future.
Mkitharyan joined the club in 2016, netting five goals in 36 appearances.
His move out of the Old Trafford could prompt a deal from Dortmund and Inter Milan, both of whom have been targeting the Armenian for a while now.
