Jose Mourinho unhappy with forward
Anthony Martial’s Manchester United future is in serious doubt, with Jose Mourinho unhappy with the French forward.
Mourinho has plenty of wide options in his United squad, with Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingaard, Henrikh Mkitaryan, Ashley Young having all been utilised in those areas this season.
United are also set to add to their attacking options this summer, having been linked with superstars such as Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.
However, it’s thought that Martial himself is actually happy at Old Trafford and does NOT want to leave the club.
Mourinho is said to be unhappy with Martial’s performance against Liverpool in the league at Old Trafford on January 15, and left him out of the matchday squad for Wednesday’s EFL Cup semi-final defeat to Hull.
While Martial will remain at United this month, his future in the next transfer window is far less certain unless he starts to deliver performances to a standard Mourinho deems acceptable.
He signed at the beginning of last season in summer of 2015, becoming the world’s most expensive teenage, costing £36million from Monaco.
