Manchester United target Gianluigi Donnarumma set to sign new AC Milan deal

AC Milan are set to begin talks with Manchester United target Gianluigi Donnarumma over a new four-year deal.

The 18-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in the world at the minute, with him now being Milan’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Donnarumma has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs over the last couple of months, with the Red Devils preparing a deal for him to replace David de Gea – if the Spaniard decided to join Real Madrid.

Milan are now hoping to persuade the Italy international to extend his contract at the San Siro, despite the club’s lack of recent success, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian giants are planning a number of big money moves in the summer transfer window, but are reported to be making the future of their highly-rated keeper the main priority.

Negotiations are expected to occur over the coming days as the Rossoneri look to fight off interest from a range of top European clubs to keep Donnarumma at the club for at least four more years.

Donnarumma’s current deal is set to expire at the end of next campaign, but AC are doing their best to convince him to stay with the Serie A side.
