Manchester United will look to sign Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid this summer if David De Gea leaves for Real Madrid.
United’s wishes are to keep their current keeper, De Gea, but Real Madrid are set to come on strongly again this summer and United will have to replace him if he leaves.
United’s no.2 goalkeeper, Sergio Romero, has been in fine form this season in the games De Gea has not played.
But Mourinho is also determined to ensure that he has a world-class replacement ready should Real come in for De Gea, and he has identified Oblak as his No. 1 choice.
United have also watched AC Milan’s 18-year-old keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, but Oblak’s Champions League experience has placed him at the top of Mourinho’s list.
