BBC pundit picks all top-teams to win

With yet another weekend of Premier League football ahead of us, it’s that time again for Mark Lawrenson to sit down and give his predictions.

What do you think?

Manchester United 2-0 Newcastle United

“Newcastle do not appear to be in great shape themselves, either. They had won four Premier League games in a row before playing Swansea on Wednesday but they were completely unhinged in Wales.”

Crystal Palace 2-1 Cardiff City

“Because of their recent results, Pulis’s players will be thinking that these are the sort of games they can win and I think, on this occasion, they will.”

Liverpool 2-0 West Ham United

“I look at this game and think that Liverpool will win it easily. Especially with the way Luis Suarez is playing, because he was nothing short of sensational against Norwich.”

Southampton 0-2 Manchester City

“This is the first major blip for Saints under Pochettino, and it will be interesting to see how they get back on track.”

Stoke City 0-2 Chelsea

“Chelsea have got the players to deal with the Potters’ threat from set-pieces and I see this being a straightforward enough win for Jose Mourinho’s men.”

West Brom 1-1 Norwich City

“Chris Hughton is in the firing line so he needs a positive result here. Will he get one? Yes. They were put to the sword by a man in absolutely brilliant form in Suarez and they are probably not going to come up against anything like him at The Hawthorns.”

Sunderland 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

“They have bounced back well from that with a good point against Manchester United and an excellent win over Fulham, and I can see them picking up another win here.”

Fulham 2-1 Aston Villa

“If Fulham play like that (how they did against Spurs) again against Aston Villa, I can see them getting the three points. Villa are very good on their travels, as we saw against Southampton, but I do not see them winning two on the spin away from home.”

Arsenal 2-0 Everton

“Arsenal’s next two league games are against Manchester City and Chelsea so it is imperative they win this game, and I think they will.”

Swansea City 1-1 Hull City

“The only time this season where they have looked vulnerable was in the first half-an-hour of their opening game against Chelsea. Since then, they have looked very solid at the back and this game looks like a draw to me.”
