Michael Owen is backing Jurgen Klopp’s Reds to defeat Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday evening
The defending champions have won their last four Premier League games thanks to victories over Bournemouth, Watford, Manchester United and West Brom.
Liverpool managed to collect four points from their two top-flight meetings with Chelsea last season thanks to a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge before a 1-1 draw at Anfield.
The Liverpool legend is tipping Jurgen Klopp’s men to win in a high-scoring Premier League clash with the defending champions.
“A mouth-watering clash between two in-form sides and it is hard to see how this could finish 0-0 given the philosophies of both managers and the abundance of attacking talent on show,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Both sides have scored in 11 of the last 12 games between the teams and I can’t see that trend being bucked at Anfield.
“Liverpool let go a three-goal lead in Sevilla midweek in the Champions League but they are wonderful to watch going forward and I think they will shade what promises to be a classic.”
