23-year-old reportedly wants to play under Conte next season, but only on one condition
According to reports, Michy Batshuayi is keen to stay at Chelsea this summer, however, the reports claim he’ll only stay if he is assured that his game time will be based on merit, and now with Romelu Lukaku tipped to be headed to Stamford Bridge, Michy just wants a fair shot at proving himself.
The 20-year-old recent spoke out about wanting more game time and it hasn’t fallen on deaf ears and with Costa set to leave, this could mean more opportunities for him.
Antonio Conte believes that it’s a pretty reasonable request from Batshuayi, but it is said, the Chelsea boss will be trying to secure some summer signings, which could be a threat to Batshuayi’s game time if the club is to secure Lukaku.
While it’s said Conte is happy to work with Michy, he’s not going to give any special favours and he will have to really prove himself in the pre-season or risk being shipped off on loan or possibly permanently.
