Monaco have reportedly turned down the chance to sign ex-Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole.
The French club were strongely linked with the retired England international, who still feels he can compete at the highest level. Monaco were expected to negotiate a deal with Cole and bring him to France, making him one of the first big name signings of the summer.
However, French media has reported that Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has refused the option to sign Cole as he is interested in other targets.
