Brazilian right-back Wallace Oliveira is reportedly set to return to Chelsea Football Club after a one-and-a-half-year loan spell at GrĂŞmio.

Reports from UOL today, Oliveira is now being released back to the Blues by the Brazilian side a just few days before the end of the contract, because he couldn’t impress there.

Wallace’s deal would have ended next Friday, and Grêmio even have an big Copa do Brasil game tonight, however, he was picked to be part of the squad.

The 23-year-old has been training with the reserve squad for months now, and is still to make an appearance in 2017.

Wallace was signed by Chelsea from Fluminense in 2013. He was then immediately loaned back to the Brazilian club, and also played for Inter Milan, Vitesse and Carpi in the past few years, but never had a chance to enter the pitch for the Blues.

The player is said to be flying to London today.
