Jose Mourinho confirms he won’t be busy on Transfer Deadline Day

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he won’t be active on Transfer Deadline Day, and instead, he will enjoy watching the coverage.

The Blues have been relatively quiet in this summer’s transfer window, signing just two players in the shape of Radamel Falcao and Asmir Begovic.

Falcao has come in on a season-long loan from AS Monaco, whilst Begovic was signed from Stoke City in order to replace Petr Cech, who joined Arsenal earlier in the summer.

Chelsea are expected to land a left-back before the deadline day, after Filipe Luis left the club to rejoin Atletico Madrid, and it’s believed that Baba Rahman could be close to arriving from Augsburg.

No Activity on Deadline Day

With a left-back close to being signed, that could be all for the Premier League champions, and Mourinho has already confirmed that he won’t be busy on Transfer Deadline Day.

He said: “I don’t think [we’ll do anything on deadline day] but I will be enjoying your show for sure.”

Mourinho has also been linked with signing John Stones from Everton, but after seeing two formal bids get rejected, he may accept defeat in that transfer saga.
