Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is set to sign a new long-term deal at the club, prior to Saturday’s FA Cup Final with Manchester United at Wembley Stadium.
Pardew made a return to Selhurst Park in January 2015 – rejoining the club where he spent a prolonged spell as a player, when he initially agreed a three-year contract at the Eagles.
Talks to extend the contract of 54-year-old had been previously put on hold, as just two victories in 21 top-flight games hurtled Palace to a relegation fight, only for the south Londoners to secure safety with a win at Stoke City in their penultimate encounter.
Speaking of the proposed new contract, Pardew said: “I think we probably going to do it before the game.”
The new deal will extend Pardew’s stay at the club until 2020, and will increase his salary to £2m.
