Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer Chelsea a staggering £61million for Eden Hazard.

The mega-rich French side have already spent roughly £50m on Brazilian centre-back David Luiz from The Blues, and they are reportedly ready to bid £15m for his defensive partner Branislav Ivanovic after contract talks stalled between him and the club.

Laurent Blance has been an admirer of Hazard for a long time now and declared his interest earlier in the year, and since then, there have been numerous reports suggesting several possibilities regarding the deal.

At one point, it was believed that Hazard told his friends he was leaving England, and another suggested he was happy in London and wasn’t looking for a move away.

Not only have PSG shown interest in the previous mentioned, they are also closely monitoring Oscar and Petr Cech, as their raid on The Blues looks like continuing.

According to reports, Hazard’s agent has already met with one of the board members of the Paris side, and they are discussing a five-year deal worth £230k-a-week.

With all the speculation going on, Chelsea took it upon themselves to break the news that Hazard wouldn’t be wearing the number 17 anymore, and would in fact be their new number 10, which lead to him making this statement.

‘I am very pleased to be able to wear the number 10 for Chelsea.

‘It is my favourite number and is one I am used to wearing for the national team, as well as the one worn by some of my heroes from when I was a kid, like Zinedine Zidane.

‘I hope it brings me a lot of luck in the future and I look forward to the fans seeing me in it next season.’

So will the change of kit number dash any hopes for PSG?
