Paris Saint-Germain are looking at options to replace Edinson Cavani in attack, with the Urguayan set to depart following his high profile spat with Neymar earlier in the season.

One of those options is Chelsea star Alvaro Morata. The Spaniard only moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer, but according to MARCA he could be tempted to trade London for Paris in January.

Morata has made a fine start to life in the Premier League, and has scored 8 goals in 12 matches for the Blues in all competitions so far.

He has earned plenty of praise for his form since moving from Real Madrid in a club record ÂŁ58million deal back in July.

At 25, he is yet to hit his peak and is the type of player PSG would look to join Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in their frontline.

A deal would not come easily given how important Morata is for Antonio Conte’s team, but as they showed by paying almost ÂŁ200million for Neymar, money is not an object for the Parisiens.

One thing they do have to avoid are the Financial Fair Play restraints. They will have to sell players if they are to spend big, but you would expect Cavani to command a big fee. He could even be offered as part-exchange.

Morata recently came out and said that living in London was a ‘compromise’ for him and his wife, and if it were up to him he would still be playing in Italy for Juventus.

MARCA report that both the Spanish international and his representatives have been informed of PSG’s interest.
