Ligue 1 champions enter race to appoint Bayern Munich boss

Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to be linked with Pep Guardiola after the Spaniard announced his intentions to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Guardiola has admitted he will be stepping down as Bayern boss after this season ends, making way for Carlo Ancelotti, who is currently unemployed following his stint at Real Madrid.

As for Guardiola’s future, his is still uncertain, but he’s got plenty of options according to reports.

Premier League trio Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all want to appoint him once he leaves Munich, and now PSG have also entered the race, with doubts over Laurent Blanc‘s long-term future.

Managerial Merry-Go-Round

Chelsea and United are expected to be looking for permanent managers in the summer, with Guus Hiddink currently an interim-manager, and doubts still over Louis van Gaal‘s head after a poor run of form.

As for City, despite their solid start to the new campaign, Manuel Pellegrini is still being tipped to lose his job in the summer so that Guardiola can take over.

However the English trio will now have to fend off interest from the Ligue 1 champions as PSG are considering an approach for Guardiola in order to replace Blanc.

Guardiola is yet to manage in either France or England.
