Midfielder suffers family grievance

Paul Pogba has NOT travelled with Manchester United to face Tottenham today after suffering the loss of his Father.

Fassou Antoine, who was 79, passed away on Friday after a long illness, and for that reason, Pogba will not be involved in United’s huge fixture with Spurs.

You can read our preview for the game here, as Spurs play at White Hart Lane for the last ever time before moving onto Wembley next season, and eventually their new stadium the season after that.

United are already without fellow midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who serves the last of a three-match ban he picked up for his actions away at Manchester City, where he headbutted City striker Sergio Aguero.

Pogba has not played a Premier League game since Burnley at the end of April, after suffering a minor injury of his own. He was back in the side for the Europa League semi-final against Celta Vigo on Thursday, where United won 2-1 on aggregate to make the final of the competition.

Luke Shaw (foot), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (knee), Marcos Rojo (knee), Ashley Young (hamstring) and Timothy Fosu-Mensah (shoulder) are all out for the season.

United need victory at the Lane farewell to keep their hopes of finishing in the top four alive. They lost away at Arsenal last weekend, and you can see 5 things we learned from that game here.
