Winger’s place under jeopardy with Arda Turan arriving in January

Barcelona winger Pedro Rodriguez has handed a number of Premier League clubs a transfer boost after becoming something of an outcast at the Camp Nou.

The Spaniard has been heavily linked with an exit from the Catalan club for some time now, with Mundo Deportivo and Sport claiming the Premier League will be his next destination.

And now the 27 year-old has reignited transfer speculation after he claimed the signing of Turkish international Arda Turan may force him out of the side.

Pedro Speaks

He told Spanish newspaper Sport: “It is obviously a delicate situation. [When the pre-season starts] we have to see what is the best for everyone.

“Now I just think about resting and enjoying the final few days of my time off.”

The treble winners will be expected to demand ÂŁ20million to allow Pedro to leave the club, according to reports made by Mundo Deportivo.

Premier League Interest

And Sport claims that the winger is being eyed by Brendan Rodgers as a possible replacement to the unsettled Raheem Sterling, whose future at Anfield is still heavily under speculation.

However, The Reds will face competition from Manchester United and Arsenal who are both long-term admirers of the Spaniard.
