FC Barcelona winger eager to join Louis Van Gaal’s side
Pedro has reportedly told FC Barcelona that he wants to join Manchester United this summer.
The Spaniard has seen his first-team status and his release clause diminish over the pre-season, with Arda Turan set to arrive in January from Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona Struggles
Pedro was already behind the likes of Neymar and Lionel Messi but he still put pen to paper on a new four-year deal last month.
However, after signing that deal, he agreed to have his release clause put down from £107million to just £22m, sparking interest from the Premier League.
Premier League Interest
United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been linked with the 27-year-old at some point over the summer, but according to fresh reports, The Red Devils are in pole position.
Van Gaal is prepared to match Pedro’s release clause and is ready to bring him to Old Trafford with Angel Di Maria likely to leave the club and join Paris Saint-Germain.
