Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola was left feeling frustrated on Saturday night despite watching his side ease past fierce-rivals Borussia Dortmund 3-0 because he found out that his tactics had been leaked to the opposition before kick-off.
His line-up and his match tactics were leaked to German newspaper Bild, who are known to have a close source with the club, but after the match, Guardiola was in no mood for any questions about the incident as he threatened to throw out the mole no matter who it was.
‘I don’t care who the mole is, I want him out. Heads are going to roll. He’ll never play for me again,’ the Spaniard is believed to have shouted at his players.
Guardiola then turned to the press conference, where he then unleashed more attacks but this time on the journalist working for Bild.
‘If you want, I’ll invite you to my team talks, so then you won’t have to contact my players.
The club’s chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also weighed in on the situation by warning the mole that if it doesn’t stop, they will have a serious problem.
‘We will obviously not bring in the NSA [National Security Agency] to find out who it is,’ Rummenigge told Sky television. ‘But I advise him to stop doing it or he will have a serious problem not only with Pep Guardiola, but also the entire club.’
