Pep will pay £100m for Messi
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is ready to break the £100m barrier to land Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
The 7-digit figure has never been hit before, with Paul Pogba currently the world’s most expensive player, costing £89million.
The pair have worked together before at Barcelona and Pep is looking to take advantage of that relationship to tempt the player to England.
The 29-year old forward has been at Barcelona for his entire career, but has just one year left on his current contract.
City’s initial plan will reportedly be to float a £500,000-per-week contract offer in a bid to persuade Messi to come to the Premier League.
